A Stroll on Eagle Beach

It’s impossibly wide, with sparkling white sand and brilliantly blue water.  It’s the crown jewel of Aruba, an island known for its beaches.
This is Eagle Beach, one of the greatest stretches of sand on earth, and a Mecca for Caribbean beach aficionados (and also the home of one of the favorite places to stay, the Bucuti Tara Beach Resort).  And this is what it’s like to be there with thanks to Caribbean Journal – enjoy your stroll!

Bajan charm galore!

Grab a coffee, sit back and enjoy a visit to beautiful Barbados and the spectacular Crystal Cove.  This Elegant Hotels boutique all inclusive resort is welcoming, warm and sits on one of the most beautiful stretches of Platinum Coast sand

Oberammergau Honour!

By / 7th February, 2018 / Annoucements, Uncategorized / No Comments

What an honour last night to meet Christian Stueckl, Director of Oberammergau Passion Play and Frederik Mayet who played Jesus in 2010. We were thrilled to learn more about the history and detailed workings of this incredible event and I am so excited to be there in 2020.  This play has been performed once a decade since 1634 with and a cast of 2,300.  Join me in July 2020 on the Austrian Delights with Oberammergau Passion Play – this is a once in a lifetime event not to be missed!  Thanks, Collette Vacations, for arranging this amazing evening!

Safest airlines!

2017 was the safest year in aviation history ever.  As mentioned in todays Conde Naste,  AirlineRatings.com, a safety and product rating website, just announced its annual list of the world’s 20 safest airlines (and the ten safest budget airlines) after evaluating 409 carriers, their crash/incident reports, operational history, fleet age, and inspection reports. Australia’s Qantas had held the top spot four years in a row, but this year, the website decided to honor the 20 best airlines equally.  The safest airlines are: Air New Zealand, Alaska Airlines, All Nippon Airways, British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, Emirates, Etihad Airways, EVA Air, Finnair, Hawaiian Airlines, Japan Airlines, KLM, Lufthansa, Qantas, Royal Jordanian Airlines, Scandinavian Airline System, Singapore Airlines, Swiss, Virgin Atlantic, and Virgin Australia. (Notably absent? Delta and United, which dropped off this year’s list.)
In its evaluation of low-cost carriers, AirlineRatings.com found that Aer Lingus, Flybe, Frontier, HK Express, JetBlue, Jetstar Australia, Thomas Cook, Virgin America, Vueling, and Westjet were the ten safest.
